Q: Can we use temporary ID badges to address same day hire issuance?

Yes. Temporary ID badges can provide a controlled way to support same-day hires or other situations where a permanent credential is not yet ready. Temporary badges should be clearly distinguishable from permanent credentials, issued under a defined process, and deactivated or collected when the permanent badge is issued. The appropriate temporary badge workflow depends on your organization’s security requirements, badge technology, issuance process, and whether temporary credentials require access control functionality.

Q: How do we know what badge numbers are assigned to each person?

If you need to know which badge numbers are assigned to each person, we offer a "Read and Post" service that provides the RFID number in a format that can be easily imported and found on the printed packing slip. This means you can easily identify who has been assigned a unique card number and integrate it into your systems without having to manually enroll each card number. In addition, we also offer a "Clone" service for 125KHz proximity cards that allows us to match the numbers with the current badges. This makes it easier for you to swap the badges as the new ones will already be enabled.

Q: Can we use our own ID badge or card design?

Yes. You can provide your existing ID badge or card design, or eXpress badging® can help create one for you. All designs are reviewed for printability, technical requirements, and production compatibility, and a formal proof approval is required before production begins. Q: How do you securely submit employee ID card photos and data?

For security, do not email badge photos, employee data, or other personally identifiable information (PII) to eXpress badging®. Approved secure submission methods include the Veonics® Portal , our secure Upload Center , and, when applicable, approved system integrations or secure data-transfer methods established for your project.
