Physical Access Control
An access control system is designed to control access to a secured area with the use of a unique card, FOB, PIN and/or biometric presentation. Then a user enables access, a transaction is generated whether access was granted or denied. The system reports the date, time, card number, reader number and access code to the back-end system database. These transactions can then be used for reporting historical usage for both access points and personnel.
